#authorshoutout: Peter Singer

The absolute OG of veganism and the animal rights movement, Peter Singer’s seminal 1975 book “Animal Liberation” catalysed an entire movement. He’s a bonafide living legend for his work in animal rights and his ongoing charity work. Peter is a respected professional philosopher, prolific author, surfer, speaker and all round intellectual behemoth.

As the field of philosophy often involves exploring and debating ideas that can be challenging or controversial, we don't always agree with everything he says. But when it comes to animal welfare, the veganism movement and the clarity he brings to the moral and ethical framework underpinning animal rights, his “Animal Liberation" book is classic, essential reading.
